Cabin Counselor
Employment Dates: June 3 – July 24, 2026
Pay rate: $315 – $365 per week
Responsibilities: Responsible for everyday camp and cabin life. Cabin Counselors are responsible for upholding camp rules, cabin covenants, and MountainCamp health and safety protocols. They facilitate the daily schedule and make sure each of their campers are safe, clean, healthy and are prepared for each camp day. Cabin Counselors work together to ensure that the community comes together as a whole outside of cabin life. Cabin Counselors will be trained in facilitation of all workshops (aquatics and athletics, outdoor skills, arts and crafts, spiritual exploration and social justice, and STEM) and are responsible for facilitating workshops in rotating assigned program areas to diversify offerings, under the guidance of the Assistant Camp Director and Program Leads. Cabin Counselors will also be scheduled to be a part of field time to maintain camp supervision, and they will be responsible for planning and executing cabin time. Cabin Counselors will also complete a peer review of their co-leader at the end of each session and perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned. Directly reports to Assistant Camp Director. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Current lifeguard certification is a plus.
ASCENDER Mentor
Employment Dates: May 29 – July 24, 2026
Pay rate: $450 per week
Responsibilities: The ASCENDER (All Summer Campers Exploring Nature’s Delights and Experiencing Recreation) Mentor is responsible for the implementation of the 6-week ASCENDER program, during which rising 11th through 12th graders experience hands-on work rotations in a variety of Mountain departments while developing interpersonal skills and having fun. The Mentor coordinates, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the ASCENDER campers, as well as works to organize and optimize leadership opportunities for ASCENDER participants. The ASCENDER Mentor will also perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, hold a current driver’s license, and demonstrate experience in supervision, organization, and facilitation.
CIT Mentor
Employment Dates: May 29 – July 24, 2026
Pay rate: $450 per week
Responsibilities: The CIT (Counselors in Training) Mentor is responsible for facilitating this 6-week counselor training program for up to six rising 12th graders. Mentor duties include training, supervising and evaluating the CITs, creating leadership training opportunities for CITs, managing the day-to-day logistics of the program, and working with Cabin Counselors to help them serve as role models for the CITs. The CIT Mentor will also perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, hold a current driver’s license, and demonstrate experience in supervision, organization, and facilitation.
OSA Lead
Employment Dates: May 29 – July 24, 2026
Pay rate: $450 per week
Responsibilities: The OSA (Outdoor Skills and Adventure) Leaders lead outdoor adventure day trips and overnights and plan, coordinate and lead the 2-week Outdoor Skills and Adventure camp. The Outdoor Skills and Adventure Leaders should have outdoor experience and skills which may include backpacking, high/low ropes, group facilitation, rock climbing/belaying, canoeing (flat and white water), rafting, and waterfront safety. Applicants without these skills are still encouraged to apply. The OSA Leads will also perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Program Coordinator
Employment Dates: May 29 – July 24, 2026
Pay rate: $450 per week
Responsibilities: This position oversees the preparation and execution of all workshops; this involves checking in with Cabin Counselors prior to and during each workshop session and managing inventory and organization of camp supplies. This includes leading some workshops and program sessions as needed. The Program Leads will also plan field time activities for each day and oversee their implementation. They will design and implement training modules to prepare Cabin Counselors for workshops. Program Leads serve as mentors and resources for Cabin Counselors as well as aid the Assistant Camp Director in additional programming, including evening programs and theme days. They will also perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned. Directly reports to Assistant Camp Director. Applicants should have demonstrated skills in supervision, organization, and facilitation. Applicants at least 21 years of age who hold a current state issued driver’s license are preferred, but applicants who do not meet these qualifications are still highly encouraged to apply.
Health Center Coordinator
Employment dates: May 29 – July 24, 2026
Pay rate: $600 per week
Responsibilities: The Health Center Coordinator assesses the general health needs of campers and distributes medications. The Health Center Coordinator will also be responsible for the implementation of health and safety protocols, including COVID-19- specific guidelines. The Health Center Coordinator maintains a visible presence in camp, being available in the case of an emergency and determining the need for professional healthcare. They will also perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned. Applicants should be a registered nurse or EMT, at least 21 years of age, and have a valid driver’s license.
Camp Coordinator
Employment Dates: May 29 – July 24, 2026
Pay rate: $550 per week
Responsibilities: The Camp Coordinator is responsible for the support and management of the CIT and ASCENDER Mentors, OSA Leads, Program Coordinators, and Cabin Counselors. This includes developing the camp and staff schedules, leading the oversight of evening programs and night activities, and performing duties related to logistics and execution of all MountainCamp operations.
