Jason Cobb grew up in Columbia, SC. Jason attended the University of South Carolina on a full musical scholarship. He attended USC for two years before deciding to enlist in the US Air Force. His Air Traffic Control Squadron was deployed to Bosnia in 1996, earning him his veteran status at the age of 22. Jason returned to Columbia and obtained his RN degree and worked for several years as an ER Nurse. Switching gears, Jason moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and worked for the South Carolina Employment Security Commission. In addition, he was the office manager for an optometry group. Jason moved to Manhattan in 2006 and worked as store manager for Duane Reade Pharmacy.
Upon returning to Columbia in 2008, Jason was hired with the Columbia City Ballet, and spent eleven years as Company Manager, Office Manager and Educational Outreach Director. Jason decided to return to school and earned his Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies, with a minor in Political Science.
Jason fell in love with The Mountain in 2022, after attending with other volunteers from the Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbia. He returned a few weeks later and participated in the Grateful Gathering celebration, which cemented his desire to be of service to The Mountain.
