DESCRIPTION:Awakening the Sacred Body: A Mindfulness & Erotic Presence Retreat \nDates: September 3–6\, 2026 Location: The Mountain Retreat & Learning Center\, Highlands\, NC Facilitator: Craig Cullinane\, Body Electric School \nA four-day retreat for men that pairs contemplative mindfulness with conscious embodiment. Participants spend their days in guided meditation\, silent practice\, and gentle movement\, cultivating a stillness that settles not just in the mind but in the whole body. From that ground of presence\, the retreat also offers consent-based practices that explore the erotic as sacred life force — a source of vitality\, intimacy\, and connection rather than something separate from the spiritual path. Open to men of all levels of meditation experience\, this gathering is an invitation to slow down\, open the heart\, and discover the body itself as a place of prayer. \nLodging and meals included Learn more and register

SUMMARY:The Path Within Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Path Within Retreat\n  \n“A Crossroads Reset Experience”\nNovember 13–15\, 2026\nThe Mountain Retreat & Learning Center\nHighlands\, North Carolina\n\nA Place to Pause Before Your Next Becoming\nThere are moments in life when something inside us quietly says:\n“This way of living is no longer sustainable.”\nNot because we are broken.\nNot because we failed.\nBut because we have drifted too far from ourselves.\n  \nThe Path Within Retreat is a 2 1/2-day immersive experience for people navigating transition\, burnout\, grief\, identity shifts\, emotional exhaustion\, spiritual awakening\, or the deep inner knowing that something needs to change. \n \nThis retreat is rooted in the Living Beyond Base Camp framework\, a grounded approach to healing and reflection that blends nature\, authentic conversation\, sacred pause\, and meaningful human connection. \nThis year’s retreat also integrates the Crossroads Reset conversation\, helping participants explore the moments where life invites us to stop surviving on autopilot and begin reconnecting with what truly matters. \n \nIt is about creating a grounded place where people can:\nRest. \nReconnect. \nReflect. \nReorient. \nAnd prepare for what comes next. \nThe retreat experience follows a gentle progression:\nDay 1 — Arrival \nSlow down. Land. Exhale. \nDay 2 — Reflection & Reconnection \nExplore the Crossroads Reset conversation and reconnect with what matters most. \nDay 3 — Integration & Becoming \nClarify what you are carrying forward and what you are ready to leave behind. \n  \nYour Retreat Experience Includes\n• Two nights lodging at The Mountain Retreat & Learning Center\n• Retreat sessions and facilitated experiences\n• Guided meditations and restorative practices\n• Community gathering circles\n• Nature-based experiences\n• Meals during the retreat\n• Retreat worksheets and integration materials \nRetreat Location\nThe Mountain Retreat & Learning Center\nHighlands\, North Carolina\nNestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina\, The Mountain offers a peaceful environment for rest\, reflection\, and meaningful connection with nature and community. \nRegistration Information \nSpace is intentionally limited to help create a grounded and connected experience. \nRetreat Investment\nEarly Registration: $550 \nStandard Registration: $625 \nLimited scholarship opportunities may be available through Living Beyond Foundation. \nClick here to register\nWhat To Bring:\n• Comfortable clothing\n• Walking shoes\n• Journal or notebook\n• Layers for cool mountain evenings\n• An open mind and a willingness to be present \nCome As You Are\nYou do not have to have everything figured out before you arrive.\nYou do not have to become someone new here.\nYou are simply invited to pause long enough to reconnect with who you already are beneath the noise.\nCome as you are.\nLeave more connected to yourself.\nLearn More About Living Beyond Foundation \nwww.livingbeyondfoundation.org \n  \n

During the breaks enjoy meaningful conversation and the beauty and tranquility of the North Carolina Highlands. \nHow to prepare \nA wonderful way to prepare for this retreat is to read or listen to Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s texts: \nModern Buddhism (free e-download)\nHow to Transform Your Life (free e-download)\nHow to Solve our Human Problems\nNew Meditation Handbook\nJoyful Path of Good Fortune \nhttps://tharpa.com/us/how-to-solve-our-human-problems-us \nRetreat Sessions \nSessions run between 60 and 90 minutes. The sessions combine practical instruction and time for meditation that will allow you to: \nconnect with an experience of true inner peace\ndevelop basic techniques that can help you to create a consistent habit of meditation\nleave with practical inner tools to apply what you have learned to your daily life \nDuring the breaks \nBetween retreat sessions take time to relax and carry your experience of peace\, enjoy the tranquility of the grounds and connect and discuss with like-minded people. \nMake it a Digital Detox Weekend \nAre you feeling over-stimulated by the modern world and your phone is rarely out of your hand? Are you losing time to tech-based distraction? Is your phone draining you of energy to live with clarity and focus? Instead of sinking into habitual distraction\, now is the time to take back control of our mind. Consider leaving your phone in your car and taking a break. \nMorning Silence Practice\nDuring this retreat we will be practicing silence in the morning\, until after lunch. Silence is not just about not talking\, it is about developing an inner quality of stillness. \n  \nIn silence\, we engage with the meditation object in a more intimate way. We start listening to the Dharma from deep within our heart which gives us a special inner experience of the teachings.
