Autumn Explorers Program
Outdoor Education with The Many Hands Peace Farm
Fridays, September 4 - October 30
Join us for a children’s outdoor enrichment program, loosely based on the ‘Exploring Nature with Children’ curriculum by Lynn Seddon. Guided observations, experiential learning, and crafting will engage children in interacting with nature, the garden, and one another. The program will balance scientific exploration and creative expression as we cover life cycles, ecosystems, seasonality, creature study, and more. In the garden, your child will also learn how food is grown, harvested, and prepared. Your child will Fall in love with nature and develop a sense of curiosity and discernment that will last a lifetime!
Autumn Explorers is a 9-week program for children aged 8-14, held once a week on Fridays from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. We will provide a farm-based lunch. A list of weekly topics and recommended materials is forthcoming.
The cost of the program is on a sliding scale, according to what the parent can afford to pay and contribute to continued Mountain programming:

This program is meant to serve as a compliment to the increase in virtual learning that youth will be asked to complete this school year. Autumn Explores classes will be conducted spaciously, in the outdoors, appropriate health measures will be taken and class size will be kept small.
